BRIGHT HOLDS DOUBLE-DIGIT LEAD IN SMACKDOWN’S PASSING MASTER TITLE RACE

By: Richie Murray – USAC Media

Kokomo, Indiana (August 27, 2022)………Alex Bright retains a commanding hold of the ProSource Smackdown Passing Master standings entering Saturday night’s August 27 finale at Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway.

The Collegeville, Pa. driver added another touchdown and extra point to his total on Friday night, advancing another seven positions to extend his total to 21 passes made thus far throughout Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts Sprint Car Smackdown XI.

Bright’s total of 21 points is 10 more than that of his closest competition at the moment, Max Adams (Loomis, Calif.) and Carson Garrett (Littleton, Colo.), both of whom have passed 11 cars this weekend.* Scotty Weir (Marion, Ind.) is the only other individual to reach double-digits, reining in 10 spots moved forward.

ProSource will reward the driver advancing the most positions in all the Smackdown XI mains with a $500 bonus at the end of the weekend.

On Saturday, the gates open at 4pm Eastern.* The driver’s meeting takes place at 5:30pm and hot laps begin at 6pm, with racing immediately following.* No qualifying will be held on Saturday.

Saturday’s general admission tickets are $35, kids 12 and under are free.* Pit passes are $40 for members and $45 for non-members.

Sprint Car Smackdown at Kokomo will be aired live on FloRacing at https://flosports.link/3AMU46z.
