I race with different friends at various tracks and I tell them, “yeah we’re going to run putnamville tomorrow. You guys going?” No is the answer I always get. And if they keep changing the rules to benefit their favorites, which they have done several times, I think I’d rather go to Paragon.
Lincoln park has taken a tried and true qualifying and heat system/method and made it more difficult. We always call it Kokomo Rules. Group qualifying. Top four invert. Super simple. Everyone knows where to line up. It’s the same everywhere. Except Putnamville. They just make up the invert as they go. This week they inverted the top 2. Top 2? You just swap the pole sitter and the outside pole. Wow! Amazing work guys! Just hand the guy the heat race and we’ll all save some fuel. Why make it harder? Then, as if that’s not enough; 10 seconds after the fourth heat was over they decide to invert 8. Doesn’t take rocket scientist there to figure out what’s going on. We’re not blind. We’re not stupid. Surely I’m not the only one that sees it. Just set the rules and leave them alone. But hey; my four wheeler is registered by god!
