Billy Wease's big weekend at the "Rumble in the SeaGate Centre" has elevated Randy Burrow's team to the lead in the Rumble Series car owners points championship.
Wease won Friday's feature at Toledo, Ohio, then finished runner-up to Jon Stanbrough on Saturday. He was fifth in the series opener on Nov. 1 in Columbus, Ohio.
Burrow, owner of Wease's No. 99 car, holds a 200-178 lead over Rick Daugherty's RAD Racing No. 0 car (driven by Stanbrough) going into the "Rumble in Fort Wayne" on Dec. 26-27, which wraps up the three-city, five-race tour.
The winning car owner will receive $1,150 from the $7,020 point fund, which is sponsored by Classic Motorsports president Tony Barhorst and Tony Elliott of Elliott's Trailers in Warsaw, Ind. The top 15 owners will share in the fund.
Randall Williams' No. 08up (driven by Tim Jedrzejek), RAD Racing's No. 14 (with Kevin Olson and Ken Schrader) and Don Moore's No. 10 (Geoff Kaiser) complete the top five.

Note: Effective with the Friday, Dec. 19 racing program, a slight modification was made to the points payoff for the semi-feature(s). Cars transferring from the semi-feature(s) to the feature shall receive no points. All other cars eligible for the semi-feature(s) and not transferring shall receive one point. This corrects an inequity in the points system in which a car that ran both a heat race and semi-feature could earn more points than a car that transferred directly out of its heat race. This change was effective with the Friday, Dec. 19 racing program. Points awarded at Columbus on Nov. 1 remain unchanged.
Tony Barhorst of Classic Motorsports and Tony Elliott of Elliott’s Trailers are the sponsors of the $7,020 midget car owners point fund.
