Bluegrass Bash 6.. March 28th, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is Official.. March 28th 2009 will be the 6th annual Bluegrass Bash which will be held at Western KY Speedway. After many phone calls and emails about the event I have decided to do a race on a smaller scale for 2009.

The Bash will pay $3,000 to win and $200 to start the feature event. We will also run our Cruiser division as a support class that evening paying $500 to win.

This will allow the Bash name to stay alive this year and also give the early bird racers someplace to go in March to shake their cars down and compete against some of the Nations BEST UMP Modified drivers.

The 2010 Bluegrass Bash if all goes as planned will be bigger and badder than ever!

The purse for the Bluegrass Bash 6 will be as follows:
$3,000- $1,000- $700- $600- $500-$400- $350- $325-$300- $275- $250-$225-$200 to 24th

The race will NOT have pre-entries and the entry fee at the gate for car and driver will be $75.00

Pit pass prices will be decreased for this single day event and will be announced in the up coming days.

We will have a short hot lap session, single lap group qualifying, group heats and consi's then the feature event.

This event will be contingent on the weather over the winter and if it looks like it is going to be too wet at the track the event will be cancelled well in advance to eliminate having the issues we had last year. The track was completely dug up on the back stretch as well as the turns to eliminate the problems we had at the bash and the results were remarkable. There is also a wall installed around the majority of the track now instead of the guardrailing that was in place last season.

More information coming very soon!

Again I would like to thank everyone for their continued support of the Bash and I look forward to seeing many of you on March 28th at Western KY Speedway for the Bluegrass Bash 6

Thanks, I might try to do this to save some gas instead of going to DuQuion or North Vernon.
