Wease wins Friday's midget feature
TOLEDO, Ohio -- Billy Wease dodged the bad luck that struck most of the other contenders and led all 60 laps in winning Friday's midget feature on the opening night of the "Rumble in the SeaGate Centre."
Wease, 22, of Noblesville, Ind., beat Tim Jedrzejek and Brandon Knupp on the 1/7-mile indoor track.
NASCAR driver Ken Schrader topped the 23-car field in qualifying but dropped out early with brake problems while running second.
Another racing program will be held here Saturday, with doors opening at noon and the main portion of the program at 7 p.m.
