Vermillion County Speedway, Danville, Illinois has made another move to upgrade their Sprint Car interest. The Saturday night Sprint Shows will be the focus of the track, but an agreement between Joe Spiker the new promoter and Sam Stockon Sr. the competition director of the new SCORA Sprint Series (Steel Block Group) for Danville to be the home base for the new group. Dates for the Series will be worked out in the near future. Sprint Car fans can look forward to a big 2009 season at Danville. There is possible that some Saturday night special SCORA involvement with the regular program can be worked out. I will keep IOW informed of any new developements. D.O. I will try to make it Mon also. I've has some extensive talks with Joe about Danville, sponsorship, and sprints in general. Even a history lesson. ( he wasn't sure who Larry Cannon was). :-)
