My advice is to not buy reserved seating.

I was there for the first Copper on Dirt and had reserved seats, bad idea. Their seats are made for size 5 butts and they have too many size ten butts. My girl friend and I had aisle seats. We ended upsharing 1/2 a seat and the steps.

Get there early and throw down your blanket, you will have plenty of room.

Reserved Seating.

If you want to sit in a particular area/get a particular view reserved seating
gives you that chance.

I can see what "Dyno Don" means by size 10 butts in a size 5 seat, but
I will say the fans there were very polite to me. I had reserved seats, they
did not and moved out of the way and gave me mine. They also liked
the fact that I bought a ticket and supported the speedway.

Sincerely,

Larry Otani:applaud:

First, thanks so much to Dyno Don for jogging my memory. I had an aisle seat last year. It was supposed to be by the aisle and ended up being in the aisle.

I called for tickets this afternoon (before reading Dyno Don's post) and was told that they had stopped selling them. A very nice lady said there is some issue with the Copper on Dirt and they are not going to sell any more tickets until the issue is resolved. Does anyone know what the issue is?

For those that have already bought tickets, made plans to attend this race, or are thinking of attending, don't change anything. I'm been sworn to secrecy, but the reason for a "pause" in ticket sales is insignificant to all on here and it will all be worked out eventually. This race will happen on the dates scheduled.

I'm in total agreement of what you are saying about the reserved seats. I've had 4 very choice season tickets to Manzy (top row aisle seats about 10 feet before the start/finish line) for about 25 years, but usually only use 3 of the 4 so we can have some extra room (I give the 4th ticket to friends to use as a general admission ticket). The gentleman with the remaining tickets in the row does the same as me (the 2 of us buy the whole row each year).

In my opinion, the only way that the size 5 seats will be expanded to at least size 8's is by letting the staff know your displeasures. Unfortunately the nice lady answering the phones has no control over it, so venting to her won't do much, and it's really not fair to her. Possibly a letter to the track will help steer them in the right direction. I can assure you that all of you that have mentioned your displeasure aren't the only ones frustrated, and they can't fix it if they don't know it's broken.

Also, the camping area outside of turns 3-4 that was provided at the Western World will again be set up the same, so you can keep that in your plans if you motorhome or camp trailer it.

How long have you advocated stealing seats?
