Sorry for the delay but he's just working through the rehabilitation phase.

Hello everyone! Thank you all for the continued messages of support and concern. Now that Cameron has continued to excel in his recovery and has been upgraded to the rehabilitational phase of his recovery, we will post updates weekly or immediately if there are significant updates.

On that note, yes, he is doing remarkably well! In fact, I am thrilled to say that in a phone call from him this morning, he wanted to tell everyone thank you for their prayers and support and to have a Merry Christmas.

He is fully alert, gracious of the support, and speaking clearly. His right eye is healing well following the surgery and he currently has 20/40 vision in that eye and 20/20 in the left. Doctors feel this will only continue to improve. He is also walking short distances on his own and working to build strength and endurance. The medical staff is in awe with the way his body is healing and how well he is doing with less than one month of recovery.

As I expressed to Cameron, the best part is that he will be able to enjoy Christmas with his family and he is very humble in that opportunity and I believe this holiday will be a true celebration of the season and how much there is to be thankful for. Thank you to all of the friends, family, fans, fellow members of the racing community, and strangers for the kindness extended to all of us during this time. I know this incident has given me a renewed belief in miracles and reminder of patience, positive thinking, and hope.

Stay tuned for additional updates next week (unless there is breaking remarkable news) but rest assured, Cameron is doing well and will soon be busy opening all of those cards and notes that you shared.

Best of everything,
~Michelle

This report is one fo the best Christmas presents anyone could ask for. God IS still in the miracle working business and there has been a lot of prayer offered up for Cameron. It is wonderful to know God still answers prayer. May this Christmas mean more to him and his family than ever before because of God's grace and healing power.

This is wonderful news. Cameron is a remarkable person & we love him very much. The power of prayer is amazing as we have all witnessed somewhat of a miracle as Cameron has been able to recover so quickly. Even though he has a lot of work to do I'm sure he will continue to amaze people.
We love you Cam!

I have been away from the IOW board since flying to N. Y. on Dec. 16th, too busy playing with my ten month old grandson to log on. Cameron's remarkable recovery is the best Christmas news I have heard. Prayer and miracles go hand in hand, Cameron has alot of us praying for his full recovery.
