BOSS Kicks Off 2021 at Waynesfield March 27th

The MPD Racing - Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series will begin their 2021 campaign on Saturday, March 27th at Waynesfield Raceway Park in a doubleheader program with the Ti22 Performance - FAST on Dirt 410 winged sprint cars! This will be a day time event in an effort to beat the cold temperatures. Watch for exact start times to be announced in the next few days.

The BOSS portion of the show will feature the "Let's Go 30" in memory of Russell Cook, a longtime racing supporter and a fan of both Waynesfield and the BOSS tour. Russ was known for his "Let's Go" calls that echoed across the race track. Despite the fact that we plan to keep the program moving with just 2 classes in action, we will still encourage fans to yell "LET'S GO!!" as the main events roll onto the speedway, in memory of Mr. Cook.

Through generous contributions from the family, the race purse is up to $12,590. The 30 lap main event winner will take home $3,000 with $375 to start the main event! Heat races have been raised from $40 to win to $50 and the first B-Main non transfer will earn $200!

Here is a complete breakdown of the main event pay: 3000, 1200, 825, 725, 625, 575, 500, 475, 450, 425, 405, 385, 375, 375, 375, 375, 375, 375, 375, 375. Heat races will pay: 50, 30, 20, 10 courtesy of TCB Speed of Nobleville, Indiana, Hoosier Racing Tire, TheCushion.com and E A Home Supply of Chillicothe, Ohio.

The many bonus awards from BOSS will still be in effect, including an extra $50 cash for the "Hard Charger" of the main event courtesy of The Bridge Restuarant of Sidney, Ohio. The "Perseverance Award" will go to the driver with the worst qualifying position, turned into the best A-Main finish, provided by All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads of Johnstown, Ohio. The "Lucky Pill Draw" goes to a random driver courtesy of Apple Metal Polishing of Eldorodo, Ohio. The "Hard Luck" award will go to the driver with the worst racing luck, thanks to Accu-Force Dynos and Testers of Millersburg, Ohio. Finally, the "Steel Block Bonus" goes to the highest finishing steel engine block provided by Cowen Truck Line of Perrysville, Ohio.

Also, as added bonuses, the main event winner will take home a new tire certificate courtesy of Hoosier Tire Midwest. All Star Performance will issue a $50 gift certificate to the driver, voted by officials, to have made the "Sweet Move" of the night, either on OR off the race track!

Watch for gate times and admission prices to be posted shortly by Waynesfield Raceway Park. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more information.

As of now, we have 17 drivers and teams who plan to open the season chasing the BOSS championship full time! That is very near our record of 18 full timers who began the 2019 season.
