KERN COUNTY DOUBLE OPENS USAC/CRA SPRINT CAR SEASON

MARCH 9, 2021... This Friday (March 12) and Saturday (March 13), the cars and stars of the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series will invade The Dirt Track at Kern County Raceway Park (KCRP). The season opening doubleheader marks the first time that the non-winged 410 sprints will rumble at the 1/3-mile oval. The winged Van De Pol IMCA Western Racesaver 305 Sprint Cars will join the showcase as the pit gates open at 2:00pm, spectator gates open at 4:00pm, time trials at 6:05pm, and racing starts at 6:40pm. Single day prices are $40 pit passes, $30 fan passes, kids passes (12-6) are $15, children passes (5 & under) are FREE, and camping is FREE. The event will follow COVID-19 protocols and face coverings are requested for people on the grounds. Located at 13500 Raceway Boulevard in Bakersfield, California, more event information can be found at kernraceway.com or by calling 661-835-1264. Floracing.com will broadcast a pay per view live stream of the races over the internet.

In addition, there will be an Open Practice on Thursday, March 11th, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

- THE 2019 RULE BOOK WILL BE FOLLOWED in regards to race format and weight rule (1,325 lbs. with driver)

- 2021 APPROVED/LEGAL TIRES: THE HOOSIER 105/18 HTW RIGHT REAR TIRES ARE NOW USAC/CRA LEGAL. The 105/16 Medium, 105/18 Hard, and 105/18 F85A are also legal with the series. Hoosier Tires are mandatory on all four corners.

- USAC/CRA charges a $25 entry fee to all competitors.

“The Demon” Damion Gardner (Concord, CA) will be looking for his series leading 84th career victory and his first triumph at the Kern County oval. The 8-time champion leads a talented roster of drivers including “The Big Game Hunter” Austin Williams, Brody Roa, Chris Gansen, “Thunder” Tommy Malcolm, “Chargin” Charles Davis Jr., Eddie Tafoya Jr., Matt McCarthy, “Hollywood” Danny Faria Jr., “The Cadillac” Cody Williams, Austin Liggett, A.J. To get to the speedway, take Interstate-5 and exit at Enos Lane (CA 43, Exit 246) and drive to Raceway Blvd. The track is on the west side of the interstate.

I'd like to see an answer to this question. Do we get usac/cra on flo this year or not?

Just found out from Richie that this weekends USAC/CRA races will be aired on Flo

I don't think flo is covering as many CA tracks as last year. I read somewhere that the races from Keller Speedway will be on flo this weekend. I appreciate any of the races I see from CA, the tracks seem to be cowboy up, and fun for watching. Flo might start charging more now, they have established themselves and it is a pretty good bang for the buck already and they have seen plenty of media posts that prove people are digging it.

I also would expect them to start charging more and depending on how much more I would still pay it. I definitely do not want to get in a situation where they are charging "pay per view" for some of the shows, I would much rather have it in a package deal.

Don’t take this to the bank but I’m pretty sure that I saw on the Twitter today that the USAC/CRA would be part of your Flo subscription. As if we could ask for more.
I think a lot about price increases, especially since I just re-upped my subscription. The most troubling thing to me is was it was going to renew regardless which I don’t really have a problem with. However, at least as far as I could tell it would’ve been without notification. The only reason I knew it was because I had to delete the card for which I used for billing. Maybe, the courtesy of a reminder that in a couple weeks we’re going to take $150 dollars out of your account, in case you forgot, might be welcome. Finally. I LOVE FLO. But adding more drag races or pavement stock cars or any number of assorted Motorsport events does nothing to increase the value of the investment to me. I bought it for USAC, anything else is a bonus, but what I will pay for USAC also has it’s limits

Yes. I have also become a Flo subscriber. The racing from Kern County Raceway is on the docket for this weekend. Unfortunately I have to work all weekend long on night shift and will not get to it until Monday. Hence I will be staying off of the IOW forum to prevent any spoilers.

This FloRacing is some good stuff, man!
