This is a long stretch, that will probably never get an answer. My name is Cody Downard, I race the #3D lightning sprint. On 6/16/2018 at Montpelier Motor Speedway, I ball parked it and flipped end over end 6-7 times out of turn 3. I landed awake, then passed out. The wonderful safety crew was very great. They did a really good job calming me down due to the severe pain I was in and being nervous about waking up blind. Also for them helping me out of the car. I was an idiot and refused to go to the hospital though. This was the first time I ever flipped a car, in at the time 5 years of me racing, and it was big flip for being the first. The back problems I have from the wreck, means this wreck will be forever apart of me. I'm "ok" now and went back to racing, after we built another car and got a different engine since it destroyed everything.
My question is, does anyone know of a video of the flip? I have some pictures of it, but I always wanted a video. Finding a video would mean a whole lot to me. That's why I put this story here, to show how much it means to me. I know people are going to say "Why do you want to relive bad memories?" I remember almost every detail of that wreck. I don't remember anything before the wreck on that day though. I attached a picture of the flip. Photo credits to Bill Miller, really nice shot! Thanks, Cody
