LARSON IS INDIANA MIDGET WEEK’S PROSOURCE PASSING MASTER

Speedway, Indiana (June 22, 2020)………Kyle Larson truly did it all during the 2020 edition of Indiana Midget Week.* One thing he did was pass the most cars throughout the feature events in the six-race series this past week, 41, which was 13 more than his closest competitor, to earn the ProSource Passing Master Award for IMW.

The Elk Grove, Calif. native also won his first career IMW title by the widest margin in the 16-year history of the event, 73, which was 29 more points than Darren Hagen prevailed by in 2012, the previous record mark.

Larson also doubled up the previous record for feature wins in a single Indiana Midget Week, winning four times in six events at Paragon, Gas City, Lincoln Park and Lawrenceburg.* Two wins was the former record.* Larson also became the only driver to not finish outside the top-2 positions in any race and was the lone driver to advance his position in every feature run throughout the week.

Larson gained the bulk of his 41 passes on two consecutive nights at Gas City and Lincoln Park where he won both races despite having to start from the 14th and 15th positions, respectively.

Larson’s 41 topped all with Justin Grant (28), Thomas Meseraull (24), Cannon McIntosh (23) and Chris Windom (22) rounding out the top-five in terms of positions advanced throughout IMW.
