I am happy to report that Andrew's MRI today went very well. For the third consecutive MRI it has shown that the sight of the former tumor(the doctors words, not ours) is smaller and showing no signs of growth. His spine and other vital organs are clear and show no signs of any activity related to AT/RT.

I struggle on MRI days as I just hope and pray that the little guy continues to show improvement. The week of it seems that the clock is ticking and we just get very anxious to get this done and see the results. A huge weight seems to be lifted when the results come in.

I spoke with my son a few minutes ago, and with the chemo treatments complete, the latest MRI showing very favorable results, they can now take some time to plot out the next part of his treatment. So many AT/RT patients don't ever get this far along and so the data from case studies that is available is much smaller. So far the protocol that they decided upon over a year ago has worked very well. We pray that the decisions that are made continue to be very positive.

The emotions are flowing this evening and I want to thank each of you who continue to send thoughts, prayers and encouragement our direction. We would love to celebrate a whole bunch but we continue to live and realize that we are still in a fight. The journey continues and the Padfield family thanks each of you who have joined in and followed Andrew's progress. Tonight is another very special night. Thanks for sharing in our journey.

I would give anything I own to lift some of the weight off of you and your family. In my fighting days most fights were won or lost in the first few seconds of someone running there mouth or doing something stupid, Andrew is no doubt a fighter, the good thing about his fight is he has good people in his corner.

Sarah, Paul, Josh and I will keep asking for Andrew and his family to be strong until this thing is whipped. Hang in there Grandpa you are part of the reason this young man is so strong. :respect:

Mike is there an address some of the drivers and crew can send a tee shirt or a card to Andrew to let him know we are standing next to him in this fight. I am thinking there may be a lot of small tee shirts out there that will fit this young man, we will send a large with the small so when Andrew outgrows the small he will have another one to put on at the race track. :respect:
Thank you

Jerry,

That would be very nice but I certainly don't expect it. If you want to send something he will certainly be excited. I remember last year during the holidays, many people sent him cards and presents. He was really excited when either the mailman, UPS, DHL, Fed Ex or anyone of the others would come to the house. He would always say that they came to see him. Even today he still gets excited when he sees the mailman coming down the street.

You can send it to Andrew Padfield, 13978 Hubbell Street, Livonia, MI 48154. Your generosity and that of so many others is very humbling. Thanks for remembering the little guy.

Mike, I pray that positive Andrew Updates continue until such time as he is healthy enough that updates are a thing of the past. My Christmas list will be short again this year, but I think Santa would leave a lump of coal in my stocking if I failed to include Andrew.
