Jacksonville Saturday Update

As of 8:30 Saturday morning, we plan to be racing tonight. I know everyone has a different gadget or app that's showing them an icon which is supposed to explain the day in one little picture... But looking at the latest model runs from 6:00am today, we have one showing us staying dry, but 20 miles from wet to the North... one showing us wet, but 20 miles from dry to the South and another showing us wet mid afternoon, but getting less than 1/4 inch - which we could handle at that time of day.
The weather we will or won't get is just crossing the Kansas/Oklahoma border and the margin for error when it gets here looks to be about 20 miles one way or the other between wet and dry. We will have a lot better picture of where we are at Noon today but over the past 24 hours I've become more confident about racing tonight. Some of our field from last night will be heading North-east to Kokomo this morning... but there's quite a few who are hanging around, had a good time last night, waking up with a little headache to shake off and wanting to race. We are going to do what we can to make that happen. |
