Scelzi started 14th. Race winning pass in 3 and 4 on the last lap!!
Track was incredible - bicycling and wheelies galore. 26 cars. You won’t see many wing races on tracks that tacky with a winner coming from that far back. Hats off to Gas City and Jerry Gappens and crew!

Just curious, I don’t follow BOSS real closely, but how many of their regulars bolted on a wing? The results of the feature seems like a benefit for local wing racers.

There were few, if any, BOSS non-wing cars that put the wing on. A few other locals did. The field was stout, with plenty of tough competition.
I wondered where the cars were coming from, with the All Stars at Attica and SOD at Hartford. It turned out just fine and the crowd was good as well. The feature saw a last lap pass for the win. It was a good night of racing. |

2 full time BOSS non wing regulars. Gardner and Tilton.
2 more were non wing guys making their first ever wing starts. Also, there was never any expectation for a bunch of my non wing guys to do this. It almost takes 2 separate cars these days. We had around 12 cars now do both of our wing shows. We are building a following for 2019. For the guys who can and will do both, we are working on some 2019 bonus cash to encourage crossover. But again, it is not expected. |
