Last year there was a ton of advertising for this and it was highly successful. This year, nothing. Last year, no competition and it was on Hall of Fame induction weekend. This year, not on Hall of fame weekend and going against the extremely well advertised Jackson Nationals not too far away. Someone is dropping the ball. 23 cars at Hulman Classic was not impressive.

You're not ever going to get big car counts at Terre Haute. It's one of the original widow makers. It's scary, fast, can be hard on equipment and a lot of people would rather go elsewhere. 23 sprints is a full show so that number never bothers me.

So more advertising would bring more cars?

Why are fans devastated over car count. Lemme tell you a story. I was at Skagit (WA) one night and they had 7 410 sprint cars. Yes seven. It was a helluva race, 3 racers going for the lead and sliding each other for 30 laps! (with a last lap exchange). Spectacular. Now, why in the world would "fans" moan when there's no b-feature. Go to the store and buy a sprint car team so next time Terre Haute can have 24.
