I think that dryhumor meant that the karma will come back to the thieves. I hope so anyway.

There are quite a few well developed anti-thft devices available for trailers and they need to be utilized. One of the best ideas I read was right here on IOW, and that was to have your car number or contact info on the roof of the trailer. Way easy to spot from an overpass or airplane/helicopter.

Yes my buddy had his truck and trailer stolen 2 years ago going to FLA to race. And the cops didn't really care so he rented a plane and flew around for about an hour and spoted his truck and trailer because he new that the top of his trailer had some patch spots on it. Now it has his # on top. Lucky find because they had 2 cars 5 total motors, all the spares for both cars 2 shops they loaded up to go racing luckly they found it and the dirt bag that stole it....

I have posted before on this subject. There are several very good alarm/security systems for trailers available on the market. The systems will range from $500 to $1500. While this seems like a lot, what are you out if a scumbag heists your trailer, car, and all your stuff?

Many of the systems not only sound an alarm but actually apply the trailer brakes if someone tries to make off with the entire trailer.

Just do a web search for trailer alarms and you can see what I am talking about.
