Usually gets a pretty good field of cars and a good fan turnout. I am trying to decide whether to go to Paragon or midget week at Lawrenceburg. Paragon is 100 miles closer, so that is a bit of a factor. Last year it was unseasonably cool at Paragon for this race. Usually, you face a blazing sun under a cloudless sky. But this is a special race honoring a special man, so that is the reason that so many make this a must-see on their annual racing calendar. I will make the decision by Saturday morning as to whether I head up I69 and SR57 or east on I64.
It's a pretty good show, there are usually about 7-10 hot dogs from other tracks that try to win it. Stanbrough and Short are two who've frequented it a lot. Lot of stock classes running
It's a good show, I went two in a row and enjoyed it and other than the Little 500 where do you get more than 30-40 laps sprint car race?
However, I wouldn't miss Midget Week at Burg for it if Paragon was my local track. No put down intended, Just midget week at Burg has always been a action packed show since the 3/8ths.
