I have released the first list of my sprint car ratings for wingless drivers.
You can view the ratings, along with all results (per race or per driver) and future schedules. http://www.SprintCarRatings.com/ |

Thanks for the info, and it's very revealing. 11 driver's made over 30k this year running wings, only 1 without. And we wonder why they want to do it? Even if they like non wing better, financially it appears to make sense. We need an influx of money and promotions on the non wing side. While I very much appreciate Stewart, Kahne, Larson and others owning or funding teams, they've largely forgotten the spring board that got them where they are and that's USAC. I wish they would talk them up like they do wing cars

When I worked for MSCS if we ran a high dollar to win show we would have less cars show up,and a lot of the time it would be cars drivers that I thought really had a chance to win. I don"t know who"s idea it was to run somewhere else it was or maybe it was the travel I wish tracks would do like they used to and close so their name drivers came go run and we fans could see who was the best that night

Stewart and Kahne did have Usac cars on tour for a while. While Larson did very well in Usac competition, he was never really from that crowd. I guarantee he’s run far more winged sprints than non-winged sprints.

I agree that Larson has run way more winged than non winged, but I think his sweep at the 4 crown and his win at Oskaloosa probably helped his career more. As for making more money, no matter what you race, you have to be up front to really make money. Throw in the extra travel costs and you better have a good merchandise program.
