Yes. I will be at both of them. Grilling outside of Turn 4 at Hartford pre-race will kick off the doubleheader for me. Plenty of brats for all.

How about you? Planning on doing both?

Couple of things this weekend to look for:

Hartford dusted up and off quite a bit last year. We'll see how it goes this year. I have no idea if they brought in new clay, or not.

Butler lowered their banking. Maybe it will make it more racier? I always thought the track itself was fine. I just hope the lower banking does not lead to more slide offs over the berm and into the runoff areas on each end and multiple caution flags - in ALL divisions. And god.... I hope they run the SOD Sprints first. At least before the mods.

I went to Hartford for a camping trip yesterday. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of an empty race track with the local radio station playing over the PA. Even got a little rest. I’m in Battle Creek now heading for Butler. I’ll be the fat guy driving the 24. Come say hi.

That would require me to dive deep into the coffers for a pit pass.

Now that the Royal Wedding is over, we are headed out soon to check out the SOD action at the "new" Butler track.
