Clauson-Marshall Development Joins Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship!
March 27, 2018 (Peru, Indiana) – In late 2016, Tim Clauson and Richard Marshall collaborated with a vision to create a defined path for aspiring drivers to receive the coaching, mentoring, and equipment necessary to maximize a driver’s potential. Founded in honor and memory of the late Bryan Clauson, Clauson-Marshall Development utilizes the same strategies and core values that were an integral part of Bryan’s success. Today, Clauson-Marshall Development is considered the benchmark for driver development amongst the open wheel community. Circus City Speedway is excited to announce a partnership with Clauson-Marshall Development for the inaugural Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship. Clauson-Marshall Development will award the winner of the Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship the opportunity to test a midget at Circus City Speedway alongside Clauson-Marshall Racing’s Chili Bowl Nationals Super Team. The test (date to be determined) will give the winning driver the experience of working with a championship caliber team, while receiving mentoring and feedback from a diverse line-up of professional drivers. Clauson-Marshall Development co-founder, Tim Clauson; “Introducing Clauson-Marshall Development at a venue that was influential to Bryan not only as a driver, but more importantly as a person, is truly an honor for all of us.” “Even after Bryan became a USAC Champion, a Daytona Pole Winner, and an Indy 500 Veteran he would make infrequent visits to the place he began his 600 career.” “When we started Clauson-Marshall Racing we knew driver development would become a focus of our program.” “The 600 community is loaded with talent as well as an environment that prepares a driver for the next level in motorsports.” “While getting the opportunity to drive a midget is exciting, the opportunity to spend a day with professional drivers in a relaxed atmosphere is the real reward.” “We are truly honored to be able to be a part of this historic event.” The Performance Electronics 600cc Non-Wing World Championship takes place May 23-26 at Circus City Speedway in Peru, Indiana. A total purse in excess of $40,000 will be awarded across 3 days of racing. The 50-Lap Performance Electronics 600c Non-Wing World Championship Main Event winner will collect $10,000 for their efforts. Over 100 participants are expected, including 75+ of the nations top drivers who have already submitted entries. It is folks like Tim Clauson that make our sport so terrific! This is one of the greatest ideas I’ve ever heard. What an awesome opportunity for an up and coming driver or a long time journeyman, stuck in a lower division due to financial considerations.
