So i habe a buddy that just picked up a sprint car he said he was going to run a create motor like a 358. I know there is the racesaver class but i thought they was wing and not a create motor

The Wilmot Wingless Sprints run a GM crate engine. Class seems to get bigger every year and give Wisconsin fans a chance to see some nonwing racing for something different.

What I gather Wisconsin WingLESS can run either a 604 crate or an iron-head spec motor. They're both mandated to 450hp max but I'm thinking the extra 50lbs on the nose would be a huge disadvantage to the spec.
I'm also curious if anyone here has experience with a carb on a Sprint Car. I'd think there'd be mid-corner stumble problems from the float bowls sloshing over. |

The Super Sportsman that race in PA run 320 to 358 CI with carburetion. Although not a sprint car they are pretty darn close.

All of the Pace Performance sealed sprint car engines run a carburetor. the 602 engines that run at Plymouth Speedway and the same sealed 602 engines in the new Rush Series non winged sprints as well. The CT 525 Chevrolet Performance engines that run with the 305 sprints at Knoxville run a carburetor as well. They will have close to 20 of them this year.
