Shortly after some long and lengthy negotiations, an announcement was made that Guy Webb, President of the O’Reilly Allstar Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series, had purchased the (Independent Racing Series) series and will revamp and turn the series into the O’Reilly Allstar Late Model Series.
Could we see some All Star Doubleheaders?

It was also mentioned in the press release that Dean Miracle will be promoting Waynesfield. Dean Miracle was the founder of the IRS late Model Series. He also promoted the first race at Millstream earlier this year. I wonder what changes will be made at the track. WIll they continue to run non-winged sprints or move more towards the winges (either 360 or 410). Or will it become a late model track.
As for the All Star Lates, it will be intersting to see how this pans out. IT is a good move from a business perspective because of the popularity of late models, especially in some parts of Ohio. |
