Edgewater drag strip, west of cincy, within 10 miles of the Burg is advertising the opening of a 4/10th mile dirt track, in spring of 2018. They are saying they are running same cars as L,burg, including sprints, and running Friday nights. Guess it's called the dirt track at edgewater. Interesting huh?

You can say 3/8th all day but its bigger than any 3/8ths I've seen, It's Eldora Sized and Eldora is 4/10th. It's bigger than Florence as well. Big wide sweeping 3and4 they were still cutting in 1and2 two weeks ago.

May stop by Saturday if I don't go to Brookville farm machinery show before Burg.

I wish em well, If they could work together with Burg and Florence and have a sprint weekend and LM weekend now and then, It think it's a win-win It's fifteen minutes from Burg and a tad over a half hour from Florence.

Seeing's as these guys actually own a couple LM's it would seem they won't just offer 800 to win for a 60K motor car class..

Can they have it ready for April as the flier suggest? I guess if you throw enough manpower and $$ at it. Burg took till almost June and that was track only. they got concessions, grandstand and RR among other things.

Charles,

I always heard Eldora was a half-mile and according to this it is: http://www.eldoraspeedway.com/visitor-info/track-facts/

That article is referring to eldora as a half mile, OP is talking about a new track.
And it's generally recognized that eldora is not a full half mile regaurdless of what's posted.

There is a quick video of the track under construction on the FB page about the track Look how wide and sweeping turns three and four are and look at the back straight touching the treeline. This is why I have my doubts on getting running by April. Lots to do. As I said, I wish em well. Also the page owner confirms 4/10th mile

If the line at the ticket window is anywhere near as long as the line of people ready to condemn this place to death before it even opens, they should be in great shape.

Didn't see anyone condemning it. I'll be there. should be cool. I'll watch in a lawn chair and use ports jons if I have too. All I said was a ton of work to do. With the track as well as with the township.. I don't see the latter being much problem as there is already a race track there and its zoned as a mine.
