This Friday September 8th is one of our favorite nights of the year at Jacksonville Speedway as MOWA Sprints and POWRi Midgets headline the Herb Barlow Memorial. We've had so many great races and finishes over the years at the Barlow and this year's event should be no different. Here's some additional bait... hope you take it and join us Friday.

- We've lowered the ticket price for this Friday's event from last year's $25 to just $18 for adults this year. Over the past month or two our local fans have responded by turning out as we have tried to gradually lower our gate prices and bring in more fans. The math on this one doesn't really work out too well for us at $18 during high school football season, but we'll give it a whirl once and see what happens. As always ages 11-18 are $7, Kids 10 and under Free.

- We've made a lot of improvements at the Speedway since most of you were here for our last midget show. A new fence project is about 1/2 completed, new pit bleacher boards, and better pit viewing are the major differences. There is active construction on a really nice stage and outdoor patio North of the grandstands that hopefully won't be too much of a hindrance. New for '17 is the Hall of Fame Lounge and banquet area under the grandstands.

- As always, free camper parking with a limited number of hook-ups in front of the grandstand. First come, first serve on those.

- For those of you also going to Spoon River Saturday, we would suggest that you plan to spend the night in Jacksonville and join us after the races in the Hall of Fame Lounge. It's gotten a little crazy down there the past few events. When the Karaoke box comes out and Joey Moughan or Zach Daum grab the mic... it's on.

- Grandstands open at 5:00, Hot Laps/MOWA Qualifying at 6:15. Racing at 7:00.

- Classes: MOWA Sprints, POWRi Midgets, Micros, DII Midgets and Street Stocks. As always we will run the program in a manner that allows those of you coming for our headline classes to have a shorter night and leave before the entire event has concluded.
