Do you have full results for the Lucas Oil Late Models that you could post also? I couldn't remember the full rundown, especially from the heats.
Darrell Lanigan took the win in heat 1 with some good racing not far behind him. Hudson O'Neal was impressive in an excellent heat 2 holding off Scott Bloomquist for the win. Hudson looked really strong the first 20-25 laps of the 60 lap feature. He was a definite fan favorite. Even though Josh Richards took off and left everyone in heat 3, the racing behind him for 2nd-5th was very good. Earl Pearson ran away with heat 4 as the track began to take rubber. Great battle around laps 10-25 in the feature with Lanigan being stalked by Richards, then Hudson chasing down and passing both of them for the lead. Bloomquist had climbed from 7th to 3rd at the lone caution around lap 26. Gregg Satterlee had also moved up to 2nd and got around O'Neal 2-3 laps after the restart. Bloomquist also got by O'Neal and after a few laps running side by side with Satterlee took the lead for good. He was locked to the track once it was rubbered from top to bottom. He set sail and dominated the remaining 25 laps or so. Bloomquist was greeted with his usual mix of cheers and boos in victory lane, especially after remaining in his car during driver intros due to a "sore back." He did make amends after the race though by coming up and signing autographs for fans immediately after his victory lane photos. With Scott back to his early season form, the battle between him, Richards (who finished third behind a strong running Jimmy Owens), and McCreadie is shaping up to be very interesting. I enjoyed my 2nd visit this year in what I have turned into two annual trips for the World of Outlaws in May and Lucas Oil Late Models in August. One suggestion would be to have a separate line at the main gate for people that already had tickets to exchange for wristbands. All fans were forced together in one long line whether they had tickets, were picking up at will call, or were buying the day of the race. We had tickets in hand from pre-ordering and waited about 45 minutes in line just to exchange it for a wristband. Never had an issue in previous visits because there had been separate lines for will call and buying tickets that day. That didn't effect the quality of the racing and I look forward to visiting again next season. Last thing - I'm not a lawrenceburg regular, so I'm curious why Scotty Kincaid seems to be hated by many fans. He wrecked in his heat and I saw nearly as many cheers as I did for Josh Rice (a fan favorite in the mods) when he won his heat. Kincaid did not transfer from the B-main and there seemed to be few who were sympathetic. |

I really enjoyed the show Track was good and wide, Two groves till about lap 30 of the feature and good racing with locals knocking off some big names in the heats and consi's. That kinda ended in the feature with Lucas regulars taking the top spots. Actually glad I went to Burg over Atomic and could share the evening with family.
I also wish to convey my non understanding of having people wait 45 minutes to get in. My uncle complained to me about it actually. He's on a cane. My solution. Get rid of arm bands for tickets except for Pit Passes. Have separate table (Booth) for prepaid-or promotions Never meant to be a insult. Just a problem needing a solution. Overall, had a great time at a show I've only attended a couple times. Someone's bad back certainly was able to climb a ladder, two flights of stairs after winning. LOL But dibs for giving autographs. And huge pat on back. 9 heats 4 consis done before 9pm. 32lates, 39 mods. Hell of a show.

Agree, very entertaining show and very good crowd also. Worth the 2 and a half hour drive for me. Dave Rudisell and his staff are outstanding. Now if we could just get a few more promoters in Indiana to schedule some Lucas Oil or WoO late model shows when they aren't running sprints.

BLOOMQUIST BLASTS TO THIRD STRAIGHT LUCAS OIL WIN AT LAWRENCEBURG
LAWRENCEBURG, IN (August 26, 2017) Scott Bloomquist came from the seventh starting spot to win Saturday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at the Lawrenceburg Speedway. The win is Bloomquist's third straight win in the Whiskey City 60. Bloomquist became the fourth different leader of the race, taking the top spot on lap 35 and pulling away from the field. Darrell Lanigan led the first 25 laps of the race until Hudson O'Neal took over the top spot. O'Neal then saw fellow Rookie of the Year contender, Gregg Satterlee pass him for the lead. Satterlee held the lead until Bloomquist charged by him to take the top spot for good. Jimmy Owens finished in second, with current LOLMDS points leader, Josh Richards taking the third spot. Completing the top five were Satterlee and Hudson O'Neal. "I was helping unload an engine. I said we should run a pipe through it. I kind of slipped and ended up carrying quite a bit of the weight and it [his back] has been getting worse ever since." Bloomquist has also battled two torn rotator cuffs in recent seasons. "You just get used to it after a while. The car was getting good grip on the bottom, it took a little while for the tires to come into it. On that one restart, I really wanted to get to the bottom. I was afraid if Jimmy [Owens] had gotten in front of me, it would be tough to get around him. " Owens was pleased with his run at Lawrenceburg in the Ramirez Motorsports, E3 Spark Plugs, Rocket Chassis. "He [Bloomquist] was better than I was. My car was way too tight and I couldn't rotate the corners like I wanted to. We have been picking up the pace lately and getting better and better. Maybe we can click off a few more wins this year," said the three-time LOLMDS champion. Richards entered the race 110-points ahead of Tim McCreadie and 145-points in front of Bloomquist, maintaining his points lead after his third-place finish. "The best car won. I am just kicking myself on that restart. I thought the car would be better than it was -we just fell back. Thanks to everyone at Best Performance Motorsports. I was only here once in 2009 so these guys have a lot more laps around here. We have run a lot of places for the very first time this year. We will keep digging at it." The win for Bloomquist was his series-tying eighth of the season - and he maintains the top spot in all-time series wins with 85. The 53-year-old Hall-of-Famer's, Sweet-Bloomquist entry is powered by a Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by Reece Monument Company, Crop Production Services, Mark Martin Automotive, Sweet Mfg., Horton Coal, Sorbera Chiropractic, Petroff Towing, VP Fuels, Penske Shocks and Crossfit by Overton. Completing the top ten Steve Francis, Tim McCreadie, Dennis Erb Jr., Jonathan Davenport, and Earl Pearson Jr. Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series |
