Nice article about the Smackdown, Kokomo Speedway and some drivers that don't get a lot of airplay. I think you can see it on line @ kokomoperspective.com or if you are in town free at most stores that sell papers.

Brent is a good dude! Befriended me right away in Indiana (I think it was Lincoln Park) introduced me to his friends, gave me a "Tony Funk & the Homewreckers" T-shirt. This summer I was on my way from Kokomo to Lawrenceburg, stopped at a rest area, saw a guy with the same T-shirt. Asked him if he was a friend of Brent... of course, & he was an Aussie, going to damn near every race until Sept.
Mr. Goodnight/Funk is a true ambassador for Kokomo & sprint car racing.... |
