Last time Springfield needed a B Main??

Just wondering when it was. It would have been last barring the rain out based on what the entry list was. With 42 entered this year, it would seem a certainty that one will be needed. I'm guessing it has been at least 10 or 15 years since one was needed.
Definitely a good sign. I quit going for a few years when the car count was so soft. Just wasn't worth a $25 ticket to see 16 cars IMO. I went 2 years ago & am going tomorrow. Planning to make first visit to the DuQuoin mile in 2 weeks with good weather. |

The last time a hooligan was run at Springfield was August 20, 2005 and won by Matt Westfall. They probably would have run one in 2007 when they started 39 cars, however a rain shower put the schedule in jeopardy and they started everyone.
There are 3 drivers on the entry list who actually won a Hoolie at Springfield. Gamester, Tyler and Bill Rose. |

Thanks for the info. I think there was a few times in the early 90's where they ran 2 of them. I know there were years where the entries were in mid 50's and only top 20 locked in from time trials. I think they ran 2 & took top 5 from each.
