I'm embarrassed to admit I've never had the pleasure of attending a race at LPS. That having been said, I'm thinking seriously of changing that by doing the THAT ISW show and LPS ISW race back to back with the camper.

I'm pretty sure there won't be any problem with camping space at Terre Haute but I'm concerned about camping at LPS. Having never been there I'm wondering if I would get over to Putnamville from Terre Haute by say 10 A.M. Thursday morning will we be able find a spot to set up? And, if there is camping space will there be any hookups available at LPS?

Also, since the LPS website won't come up for me I want to apologize for all the questions but I'm wondering if they will sell any advance reserve seats and if not what's LPS's blanket policy is. I'm not a proponent of the blanket dance but when in Rome, one must do as the Romans do. Especially when it's our first time there. Two more questions. Will there be support classes at LPS and if so will their features be run prior to the sprint A-main and what is the cooler policy at LPS.

Thanks a bunch in advance for all the info you guys and/or gals will surely send our way.

We're Illini non-wing fans that are stuck in the heart of dirt late model country and we're really stoked in anticipation of ISW!!

there's a big camping area at putnamville on the top of the hill behind the grandstand. it's an easy walk to and from due to the close proximity. there are NO support classes at putnamville, just sprint cars and sprint cars only. I'm not sure on a blanket policy, I'm sure you can put one down as soon as you arrive.

Are you using this URL?

No "blanket policy" is shown on the site. Small coolers are allowed, no carry-in alcohol or glass...
Hope you enjoy it; of the 15 Indiana dirt tracks I've visited since moving here from California 3 years ago, it's one of my favorites.

No hook ups that I am aware of. Primitive camping at its best. You can also bring a lawn chair along and either sit in the main seating area or on the hillside in turn 4. The aisles between the main bleacher seats accomodate a regular lawn chair and most of the regulars do this as well. The Shortbus suites of course are bleacher seats only and limited to "unique" folks only.

This URL you posted worked just fine. Last night I googled LPS and the site it sent me to was a "can't display" page.

Wow, this is gonna' be great, a track we've never seen before and no support classes!!

You guys have been a great help, thanks again.

Only repeating what was seen (or not) on the site. The track info section didn't say anything about laying out blankets, is all that was meant.
And "small coolers" is a little vague, but again, that's all it said...
Even if ya gotta perch in a tree suckin on a single ice cube, the racing should be awesome.

There will be signs directing and marking the RV Parking Area.

20' x 40' camping spots will be marked in this area.

Additional Parking spots have been created along the West edge of the RV parking lot.

Some spots are already reserved...
