Did anyone happen to see the guy yelling at the flagman about the modfieds feature at the end of the race, telling him it was rediculous? The flagman said they paid the same amount to race as the sprint cars, then the fan replied, "if this was the sprint cars I wouldn't have a problem." Again, a track needs to take care of the paying fans. There were a lot of out of towners there to watch the midgets and the sprints. The announcer said something about the sprint drivers had wanted the modifieds in between the two divisions to give them more time, but who knows. There was already a 10 or 15 minute break due to the midget victory lane celebration, and there were only a few drivers doing double duty, and those guys are the ones you see at four crown, where they push off the next division within 5 minutes. Hopefully nobody complains about Eldora's track conditions again after this midget week. I will give Bloomington credit though, they dumped on as much water as they could.

Man for me i love the dry slick race tracks. Much better racing. The two midget week races ive got to go to this week so far, LPS and the burg, had battles going on all over the track. Its fun watching the drivers having to work the car.

That being said, that modified race......Ouch. It was brutal. That modified group should be a little red in the race this morning. Maybe they need a bit bigger right rear tire for that heavy of a car i dont know. But heck you get those races every once in a while. It wasn't the first for many of us and most likely won't be the last.

I was told there were 18 yellow thrown. It was the most painful feach at the burg since the ARCA trucks were there about 7-8 years ago.

Enduro features does have the capability to turn off fans. I have first hand experience. The wife was turned off of racing when the USAC midgets made an appearance at Florence Speedway in 1991. They were on there worst behavior and the start bcame Ground Hog Day for almost an hour, and this was with Jeff Gordon in the house. I can't really blame my wife after this.

When a class gets this bad,it's time for the officials to send them to the pits and bring on the sprint feature. Then introduce a NO spin rule and send them back out while most of us are on our way home. You would be amazed how much better they drive if they know one mistake and their out.Completely ruined an otherwise good night at the races. I hate to see them on the schedule for Sprintweek.

Paw I have to disagree a little with you on this one. I like when the modifieds run. However, they should be after the sprint feature for sure. When the modifieds run their feature after the sprint feature a lot of the fans leave. I, on the other hand stay and watch the modifieds. I enjoy the modifieds and by the time their feature is over a lot of the traffic is gone. This is a win win situation for me! The modified feature last night was terrible and took forever. But, I think this kinda of out of character for them at Lawrenceburg. I have seen some really great modified races at the burg. Heck this one was good when they were actually able to turn some laps. So IMHO keep the modifieds just have them run after the sprint cars. If the double duty drivers need a few extra minutes have a 5 or 10 minute intermission.

The high point of that race for me was watching the guy in the yellow shirt standing at the top of the stairs beside the flag man signalling to the yellow #12.

I have thought that since mods were first started. Maybe its time for a rule change.

I'm sure the drivers didn't enjoy it anymore than we did, but they need to get their act together. Beginning of this season had some very good races.
