that's a yearly ritual over there. their season is usually a month or two shorter than everyone else if we have a wet spring. it sit's at the point of two rivers. nice track though. go there at least twice a year. 2012-dirt track world chapionship.

Yes, I remember "The Burg" getting that way every year and I even drove down to see it in person too. The water was clear up to the bottom of the flagstand!

We went to Benton County one night, when it was still paved, and that place was totally underwater, you couldn't even see the concession stand, but they had a drain that was stopped up, and they sent a diver down, and cleaned the debris off that so it would drain, and by golly, in a couple of hrs, they even had the concession stand open, and selling stuff, we raced, and got home late, but it happened. I've been headed to the Burg, and from where I live, there on hiway 50, just before you get there, is a highschool, with a football field, and a concession stand, and if the concession stand was under water, there was no need to go any further, cause the Burg would be under also, now, and even before they did all the remodel, when they put those pumps underground, in the infield, they could still race, lots a water coming out when you drove into the pits tho, clear and cold. Bob!
