I know that earlier this year that myself and others asked about a non wing Illinois sprint week like what we had in 2010. No response at all,and at the time I noted that the World Wide Web apparently terminated at the Indiana/Illinois state line.

Flora tired it but couldn't get enough cars or fans to keep the track open.

True, but they tried to do it as a steel block only series to start out with. They automatically eliminated alot of potential cars, and the car count suffered. As for the fans, the admission prices on the nights they ran sprints was more than the price to get into Putnamville and Paragon. Alot, if not most fans will choose the lower admission price with 20-30 sprints in the pits over the higher admission price with 10-15 sprints in the pits.

I appreciate Flora's effort...but we need a track a bit closer to the STL metro area that will give non wing racing a shot

Flora is only 2 hours from St Louis. While not close, it is not that far. From where I live, Terre Haute is 1.5 hours, Bloomington, Putnamville and Paragon are all 2 hours away. I wish they were closer, but when you got the urge, you just gotta go. (racing that is)
