The VS press release....

Eight Firestone Indy Lights races will be broadcast live this season by VERSUS. Additionally, the inaugural event in Quebec will be taped for broadcast at a later date.

The IZOD IndyCar Series window on VERSUS will expand to include the live broadcasts of Firestone Indy Lights events at Barber Motorsports Park, Streets of Long Beach, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Streets of Toronto, Edmonton City Centre Airport, Streets of Baltimore and Kentucky Speedway. The Firestone Indy Lights standalone event – the Streets of Trois Rivieres in Quebec– will be taped for broadcast at a later date.

“It is very important as we look to develop our future stars that we are able to provide opportunities to increase their exposure and build names,” said Randy Bernard, chief executive officer, INDYCAR, the sanctioning body for the IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights. “The live broadcasts on VERSUS provides coverage on the fastest growing sports cable network in the country as well as helps further integrate Firestone Indy Lights into the momentum surrounding the IZOD IndyCar Series. We want to thank the team at VERSUS for working hard to make this happen.”

“This is an extremely exciting development as we prepare for the start of the season,” added Tony George Jr., manager of business development for Firestone Indy Lights. “The addition of live events of VERSUS is another element to further engage potential drivers, teams and sponsors and demonstrate the value of Firestone Indy Lights as the stepping stone to the IZOD IndyCar Series.”

VERSUS has been the exclusive cable home to the IZOD IndyCar Series since 2008. On-air talent for the Firestone Indy Lights broadcasts will be announced at a later date.

The race this weekend IS NOT on VS so therefore they are not there with their trucks/cameras so the race will not be shown as VS has the rights to the series and the contract only calls for the above mentioned races. The only reason they did the IMS race was because they were there doing other stuff like time trials in a partnership with ABC/ESPN.

My understanding is VERSUS has the exclusive rights in the US, not sure about Canada. You might try a search online tomorrow because outside the US they don't have exclusive rights. Chances are decent you can find it, might not be in English tho.....
