pavement birdcage grease?

hello does any one have any problems with grease coming out the sides of birdcages? we pump 2 pumps weekly in season to keep lubed up and tear down and clean 1/2 way thru season we have tried lucas red, kendall wheel bearing and valvoline high temp,and currently lubrication engineers %### cant remember number.goes in blue comes out grey goes in red comes out grey.run wing and non wing pavement,410 motor,recently bought new dmi birdcages and hope to not have any issues the bearings looked good every time on the old ones.so is there any specific high temp high speed grease?thanks again have a good week.

I'd say it's a common thing, shielded or seals, grease is gonna work out, if you use them, and I don't know of anyone that makes a grease that won't work out, you'll have to admit, there are differences in "seals", and what they call a seal on a brg, is only to keep it in there for shipping, really, just like the front snout brg in a rear end, it has seals on it, but as soon as the grease moves out, diff lube will go thru it like ^%$ thru a tin horn. Just lube them as you have been, and consider it normal maintainace. Bob

LOL! If you stop putting grease in them all the time, it will stop coming out all the time. Seriously, they're not meant to have grease continually pumped into them-they actually run hotter with too much grease. When they're new, just put a little more grease in them (like 1 pump), because they don't come with quite enough IMO, but then leave them alone for 6-8 races. After that, you could probably put another pump of grease in them, or just clean and regrease them.
