My apologies if this has already been posted/discussed. I tried to sort back through threads but kept clicking and reading instead of just skimming...

Try reading the article a little more closely. It was an associated press piece written in the Atlanta office. The first gentleman was just passing along some news. If you have a ***** about the info i suggest you e-mail the author from the AP. Sorry but your comment just makes you look stupid.

Actually Leon, IMO I see it more as pointing out what he had to overcome prior to his accident, rather than condemning him for it. The context of discussing his triumph over past problems explains the resolve Shane is showing while fighting this too. Shane's a strong young man that has already beat odds that would have stopped alot of people.

I ALWAYS rooted for Shane when he ran with USAC. And I will continue to root him in his recovery and beyond.

What a great kid.

Story was in my local paper, Reading Pa Eagle, last Friday as the head line story in sports section. Very Surprised by the placement of this story, that said as a non wing race fan who loves to travel to Indiana, I'm glad they ran the story.
