According to Salem Speedway's Facebook, USAC Midgets will invade the new Salem Speedway Short Track in 2011. No real details as of yet...

Would this be the track that is the 1/5 mile dirt track that the Fleetwoods run? If so, that would be freakin' awesome!

I don't think so. I thinks he means the new track they put inside the old .555 mile oval. But I've been wrong before.

I think Shawn spelled that out in his post, Salem Speedway, is the big, asphalt oval, the Salem Speedway Short track, is the NEW small asphalt oval, and the track at the Fairgrounds, that Mason Fleetwood promotes, is known as Thunder Valley, and is dirt, a very nice dirt track. Bob

Gotcha. That's unfortunate. I'd rather see them at Thunder Valley. (Couldn't remember the name of it before, and have seen a few races scheduled at "Salem" like this before and been scheduled there)

I think with a little coaxing, Mason would schedule full midgets there, I consider it the ideal size for a midget, problem is, he has it now on Friday nites, and it's hard to get a good field of cars, or paying customers, then he has Vernon(Twin Cities) on Sat night, so he's a busy guy, personally, and I know I'll catch a lot of flack for it, but I think TC is as good a Sprint car track, as there is in Indiana, the stands are high enough above the cars, hell, you can watch their feet working the pedals. JMHO! Bob
