I have a non wing 410 car. i bought a wing motor and put in my car I've ran it four times and everytime it gets dry slick i can not get it to get any bit no matter what chassis changes i make. I have a litttle over 4" of pedal travel. seems like no matter how easy i get to the throttle at a certain point it blows the tires off. does it need to be detuned by changing the cam or am i thinking wrong. and if the motor and cam combination is wrong could it be cause my chassis problems. the reason i think this is because i have changed shocks torsion bars you name it and does not seem to help thanks for the help

Cam change maybe or maybe not. You have to know what cam to install and where to install it at versus what you already have. Sometimes you just change the cam timing on the cam that you have. Also what will help is using the "Dry slick ex headers" they have Waaay bigger primary dia + shorter collectors + shorter primary length as well. They are readily available from major header companies. What cause's your problem is to much air speed to soon in the RPM band. You don't want less HP. What you want is a flatter torque curve and it's this curve that makes the motor driveable, smoother if you will. If you want to go faster just push pedal down a little farther. I use the same cam's for both my wing and nw customers. It's about driveabilty, the driver has to control the car not the motor.
