The Midwest TQ Racing League™ presented by Vincennes University heads to Lawrenceburg Speedway, Lawrenceburg, Ind., on Saturday night July 31st for the “Dog Daze of Summer.” The Lawrenceburg Chevrolet sprints, Budweiser UMP modifieds and AMSA mini sprints are also on the card for an all open wheel night. There will also be a Pet Food & Toy Drive at the speedway benefitting the PAWS Organization of Dearborn County. Bring in an item and you will get a chance to win a $100 Kroger gift card.

Chris Guinn is the most recent MTQRL winner with a victory Monday night over Rick Robinson, CJ Leary, Jason Willis and Matt Lux at the Marion County Fair. This was Guinn’s first win in the MTQRL and there have now been three first time winners in a row. Jason Knoke was victorious on July 16th at the Jefferson County Fair while Leary won on July 4th at Rushville.

Robinson now has four top five feature finishes in his last four feature starts. He looked poised to win the feature on May 15th, when the MTQRL made their first appearance of the season at Lawrenceburg, leading 13 laps before engine problems forced him pit side. Tim Lynch went on to win the race over Speidel, Kenny Byrge, Leary and Guinn.

Tate Martz did not complete a lap Monday, after being involved in a multi car tangle at the start of the feature, but he continues to lead the season standings over Willis, Leary, Guinn and Speidel.

Martz also leads in the Jackson Oil & Solvents Duel for Fuel standings (over Willis), Ward’s Apparel Hard Charger standings (over Jamie Ross), and the Tony Stewart Foundation Leader of the Pack standings (over Willis). Leary holds the advantage over Caleb Faulkner in the Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Year standings.

On Saturday practice is slated for 6:00 pm and racing begins at 7:00 pm. General admission is $15 for adults, $7 for children (7 to 12), and 6 and under are free. Pit passes are $25 for all ages and the pit gate opens at 4:00 pm.
