Friday's racing action at the Big O was rained out which meant the Tobias SpeedSTR's never made it inside the track and the MSA/Oswego wigned supers lost one date of there double header weekend.

Then history was made on Saturday when the Bond brothers won the Supermodified and Small-Block Super features, never before in the tracks 60 year history had two brothers won on the same night. Mike Bond won the Small-Block feature first and brother Bobby Bond started on the pole of the Super feature and never gave up the lead.

Super Results- #25 Bobby Bond, #77 Tim Ice, #28 Bobby Dawson, #41 Bobby Magner, #00 Joe Gosek, #29 Russ Wood, # 19 Trent Stephens, #79 Otto Sitterly, #7 Charlie Schultz $ 49 Lou Cicconi, #11 Kyle Edwards, #&4 Mike Lichty, #36 Jon Henes, #16 Paul White, #22 Pat Lavery, #70 Michael Barnes, #8 Ryan Kingelhofer, #90 Ray Graham Jr.,#61 Lou LeVea Sr., #52 Randy Burch, #23 Jason Spaudling, #99 Joey Payne, #88 Keith Shampine, #35 Jeff Holbrook, #0 Gene Lee Gibson, and #55 Rich Reid.

While 38 supers graced the pits and a large crowd attended Old Timers Weekend it was a costly nigth for many of the racers. Dave McKnight's ride in the 08 ended early when the car was destroyed in hot laps, Danny Lane walked away from a horrific crash into the 1st turn wall in the 4th heat after Tim Snyder's motor blew while running in front of Danny, Danny caught a wheel and was launched into the wall, luckily he walked away uninjured, the Lane 97 super was destroyed. Tim Snyder's engine loss was the second of the night for the Snyder Team, earlier in the night the team car of Gosselin also lost a motor, Paul White lost a motor while running third in the feature with under 10 laps to go.

Thanks Patti.

I'm curious:

Do you know if the Paul White in #16 is the same guy as Texas resident Paul White which was the former USAC Silver Crown champion?

Seadog,

I believe in another thread that Patti mentioned that it was in fact the same Paul White.

Yes it is the very same Paul White, he is driving Steve Miller's super when their schedules match. Fred Gormly is involved with the Miller car as well and he was one of partners in Pauls #99 silver crown car. Hope the car is back together and they get to run Airborne Speedway in Plattsburg NY this weekend. First ever trip for ISMA to the newly paved progressive banked oval. This is a first class place all the way around should be great racing.... 3 wide easy
