Damion sure has them covered out west. I wish I would’ve been able to watch but for some reason it wasn’t on Flo in spite of the USAC banner. I know it’s USAC/CRA but I could swear Floracing had plenty of their races last year. I did see a couple highlights here and there and it didn’t look very well supported. I don’t know for sure with limited view, but at least the bottom part of the bleachers were exceptionally roomy. I hope it was better than what I saw because it’s a wonderful facility. Maybe someone who was there can fill us in

I'd sure like for DG to be able to procure funding for he & his team to participate in ISW22.

I was there for all 3 nights. The first 2 were poorly attended fan-wise, and the final night was a little better. I base that assessment on cars in the parking lot rather than trying to count heads in the grandstands, but from my perspective, there were few people below the top 6 or 7 rows. It was very breezy all 3 days. The winds died down in the evenings, but the temps also dropped into the mid '40s, so I suspect that had a lot to do with the poor crowd turnout. The sprint racing was great all 3 nights, although there were multiple red flags during the Thursday sprint feature. Things settled down the next 2 nights, with a green to checkered 30 lapper the second night, and only 1 red on the final evening.

There were 3 field filler classes, with car counts of 3, 6 and 10, so they didn't drag out the program too much.

Thanks DD. I hope it’s good enough that they can build on it for the future. We were there for the first Winter Heat deal a few years ago and loved the place and the atmosphere. Sometimes I wonder if USAC might be better served to start their season there and scrap the Florida deal. A lot closer to California cars, however a bit further from Indy. 3 nights of USAC sprints and midgets at Cocopah to start the season sounds good

Working on it. He told me if I can find funding he will come to ISW. Also he wouldn't be opposed to driving for a different team during ISW just not many open rides available.
