Should real names be shown in all posts???
<edit> I want to clarify, this would not mean your userid would have to be your real name... What I mean is, after every post your real name would be posted.

Bill,
I'm not sure there is a way to verify the name that everyone would give you is their actual name.
I do think that if you don't feel that you can sign your actual name to a post you should refrain from posting.

Of course. I've signed mine for the last couple of years now.
But, what keeps someone for signing someone else's name or using a false name?

Jim, that is exactly the reason I have never required real names. I just wondered what everyone else thought about it.

Sandy,
Maybe the only way to police it would be for the moderators to remove any post that has a false name. But, that's going to be difficult and time consuming to do also.

Real Names should be required when you register. Also a valid email address.
The moderators should be the only ones with that kind of information.
