Anyone ever been to one of these events?? Worthwhile??

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MOTORCYCLE ICE RACING SEASON GRAND FINALE COMING TO FORD CENTER FEBRUARY 23RD!!!
Evansville, IN - The 8th and Final Round of the 37th Annual World Championship ICE Racing Series thunders into Evansville’s beautiful Ford Center Saturday night, February 23rd. The nation’s top professional riders will be in town for the event competing on exotic state-of-the-art Manufacturers World Cup Motorcycles and wild ICE Unlimited Outlaw Quads. Participants will battle it out on the treacherous solid ice oval track specially prepared for this event inside the arena.
This year’s World Champions for this sensational and extreme sport will be crowned right here in Evansville. In both professional divisions of competition WC points standings are way too close to call at this point of the season. As in so many previous years it will all be decided right here at the Grand Finale.
The thoroughbreds of the sport are the lightning quick Pro Manufacturers World Cup Bikes. These machines are lightweight aluminum framed crotch rockets with high horsepower liquid cooled 4-stroke engines. They are capable of reaching 0-60MPH in less than 3 seconds. These factory race bikes are made by the world’s top manufacturers including Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and KTM to name some. As you might imagine their owners incorporate many modifications to the bikes for top performance on the ice tracks. Beside significant suspension modifications the other most important difference are the tires. Tires are prepared with inner liners with 1,000’s of razor sharp ICE Silver Rockets Racing Studs. While absolutely necessary for traction these tires/studs add an element of danger not present in dirt track racing. It takes a brave sole to throw his leg over one of these machines.

Never been to what I believe is going to be indoor flattrack bikes on the ice ? If thats the case there wont be much sideways action or passing for that matter. If it was speedwaybikes I'd say go for sure, they'd be completely sideways and leaning on each other. I've raced both flattrack bikes (boring) and Speedwaybikes (exhilerating) on ice. As for the quads, they flat out suck. Flattrack bikes are sorta liked winged cars, try to keep your tires in line as much as possible, Speedwaybikes are like nonwinged cars, better backitin or you aint going to make the corner. That being said I'd go if nothing else was going on.
