I believe that was before the highly respected Tom and Loris Helfrich purchased the series from Sam Stockon. I did send an e-mail to the Tour Director a few days ago asking for clarification of the rule
and will let you know what the official interpretation of the rule is when I hear back from him.

The lack of interest on this board about a rule that could change sprint car racing back to the original intent of the sport is fascinating.

that is no true there are many driver in years past that could drive away from the pack with smaller motors than the rest of the field
