Busy Week for MTQRL TQ Midgets (July 4th

The Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Jenmarco.com three-quarter midgets begin a busy stretch of three races in four days with the traditional Fourth of July race at the Rush County Fairgrounds (Rushville, Ind.) on Wednesday evening. The day will begin with the Vintage & Modern Race Car Benefit Show from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Rush County Fairgrounds Livestock building and end with fireworks after the races.

A double header of fair races is also on tap for the weekend. On Friday July 6th the MTQRL three-quarter midgets will compete at the Shelby County Fair in Shelbyville, Ind. and Saturday July 7th they will venture south to the Jefferson County Fair in Madison, Ind.

The MTQRL would like to give back to the Shelbyville community after fire destroyed the grandstands at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. The Shelby County Fair Association has been a supporter of the MTQRL since its inception and the Shelbyville races have always been popular with our competitors and fans alike.

During intermission Friday night the drivers will come over to the grandstand area and pass their helmets accepting donations for the rebuilding fund. The MTQRL will then match the donations up to $5,000.00. Although the historic covered grandstands can never be replaced we hope our contributions can assist the community in the rebuilding process.
