Machine turning? Or engine turning, probably depending on where you live.

Makes them look like this:

It's really bad, when you're standing in the bathroom, wondering what you came in for! Right after I posted this, I poured myself a cup of coffee, and put it in a cabinet above the microwave to warm up, it does get worse! Bob

You need a drill press>>>for the small size 1/2" or 3/4" dowel rod works fine and fine valve lapping compound, a little bluing will give it a dash of color. To keep them neat clamp a fence to the table and move it each row. Larger ones can be made with fine rolock sanding disks. Keep bright with a couple coats of clear lacquer.

Bwahaha! Usually the bathroom is the easiest place to remember your purpose...
My previously sharp memory is fading too
Your story reminds me of the time I reached for the honey & poured dish soap in my java....
tasty....

You can purchase machined turned aluminum at a number of places. Speedway Motors is one.
