I wish it were different but outside of IN, IL, OH, PA, MI USAC "National" Sprint Car racing is a misnomer. Researching my USAC Sprint Car Pictorials from 1968-79, the majority of racing took place in OH, IN, PA, MI with sporadic FL,WI,MN,IA,MO,NY,NJ,CT, & CA one offs over these years. USAC has no foundation outside the previously mentioned core states. It is clearly a more "National" series now than any time in its history, and that is not saying much. I wish the Huset's Nationals would prove me wrong but for SD fans, I am afraid USAC sprints are like a drifting exhibition in Goshen.

So after making the rounds a few times all I can say right now is the place is fantastic. One of the gate guards asked me if I needed anything. Never had that happen before

26 sprint cars about half based in Indiana. Tafoya and Bernal all the way from California. 27 Midgets, thats not the disastrous car count that some seemed to expect.
