There are still plenty of tickets available for the Battle at the Center on Saturday December 18th, 2010. Ticket requests received after Monday 12.13 will need to be picked up at the will call window located next to the general admission ticket window. General admission tickets are $20.00, front doors open at 3:00pm, hot laps start at 5pm with racing following hot laps.

Dave Darland and Danny Stratton are latest entries bringing the total to sixty-two pre-entered drivers for Saturday's Dec. 18 inaugural "Battle at the Center", on the Mini Magic Mile inside the Southern Illinois Center. The invitational event will be sanctioned by the POWRi SPEEDWAY Motors National Midget Series.

Darland a former USAC Triple Crown Champion has scored four career indoor midget feature victories at Tulsa, RCA Dome and The Sandbox Arena. Darland will drive Ebby Bergfield's Spike/Ford-Esslinger No. 86. Stratton a former winner in POWRi competition and winner in March in Dallas, Texas, will also be a strong contender for the $5,000 first place prize. The event will be the first point race for the 2011 National Midget Driver of the Year Championship (NMDOTY).
