I traveled to Tulsa with two others so fuel and lodging were split evenly over seven days. Lodging $250.00 Fuel $75 Tickets $350.00 Pit pass $120.00 (not a necessity but worth the price) Cash $1000.00 Total $1795.00 I rounded up a little, not much. All ready planning next year

Nice of you to share that so others have an idea of what to expect. I am sure it is on most bucket lists if they have not experienced the Chili Bowl already.

I assumed he included food/beverage cost into the "cash" section?

It's always fun to go and enjoy all the great things that we all love. Our racing families enjoy the racing road trips and it's nice when you have a great group of guys that rent a van and split the rental and gas and hotel cost and make some life times memories and Kodak moments. We will begin our racing road trips for the year in a couple of weeks. Hopefully that we will see you guys in Florida. God bless America. Thanks.

Six days in Tulsa in Jan. is different than any thing else we do.The weather doesnt really allow for tailgating and consessions are on par with NASCAR .The twelve days Im in Florida will probably be least costly even though Florida is more expensive.Ill be tailgating, camping, grilling and bumming off my friends and inlaws. Consessions at Ocala and Volusia are more reasonable.Im hoping my $1000.00 will stretch a little further.

there was a guy in my section who likely spent his $1000 just in beer. He never let the beer man pass without buying 4,6,8 beers for his group.
