Kansas, Illinois driver Cottle and the New Mexico-based Hodges team scored a recent triumph in USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car competition last Friday night at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind., driving from 6th to 1st in the first nine laps of the 30-lap feature to capture their first USAC victory together as a team, second overall.

Cottle, along with recent entrants Brandon Halverson (Jackson, Minnesota) and Glen Saville (Razorback, New South Wales, Australia), have pushed the entry list to 43 for this weekend’s event at the “Sprint Car Capital of the World,” which includes a grand prize of $20,000 for the winner of Saturday night’s feature.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s Brady Bacon, a two-time USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car champion in 2014 and 2016 who followed Cottle as Saturday night’s winner in the Bill Gardner Sprintacular at Lincoln Park, is undefeated at the Corn Belt Nationals after sweeping both nights of the inaugural event in 2019.* Bacon also won a USAC Sprint race at Knoxville in 2011.
