Rear Radius rod

When would u adjust up or down on either side and why. What effect does it have on car.

It changes a few things moving higher on the right side will give more forward drive. Moving them changes the rear steer as well. A lot could be written on the subject, getting the left one too high will make the rear steer drastic and make the car towards the wall off. That's why most left side ones are level or actually down hill just a few degrees. When you move them you have to be sure that birdcage timing and chassis square aren't affected

Bad is right, no quick and easy answer. Set up is like driving the more you do the better you get. Keep notes and learn. When you raise the pick up point on the chassis the rear end attempts to drive under the car increasing forward bite>>lowering the point lets the rear axil try to drive over the car decreasing bite. I remember one old guy had pick ups that were not adjustable and they set lower than the birdcage pick ups so the radius rods had to ran up hill to the bird cages. When the track was heavy he went like a "Bat out of heck" but when the track slicked off he could not get any forward bite. Go on and make your changes some times you will be a hero others more like a zero.

Steve Smith has several good books and videos published that could go a long way in answering your questions and probably cause you to develop some new questions.
